I started off my photography journey probably like a lot of others, picked up a camera, started shooting and then I started booking small jobs. But how quickly your side hustle can become this all-consuming thing which you love to do but takes so much of your time. The thing I wanted to learn from this course is – how do other photographers do it behind the scenes? I see their beautiful photos on their Insta feeds but surely there is a more efficient way that they are running the back-end of their business. Not only have I received that but a whole lot more which I never even would have thought to ask about.
 
I’ve flown through this course along with my photographer peers, and implemented the small changes that I could do straight away. But once the course is over, I have every intention of going back and doing it slowly, and implementing all of the big changes that suit the way I want to run my business going forward (backend / admin / sales things). The ways I’ve been doing things is really inefficient so knowing the different programmes and processes Tim has suggested has and will continue to be a really game changer for me.
 
One of my biggest takeaways from the course that I wasn’t expecting – Perfection. I’m the only one who notices it – and achieving it takes so much of my time. It’s like a weight was lifted from my shoulders.
 
Thank you so much Tim for giving not only so much of your knowledge but your time to this course (I know those Zoom calls go for a lot longer than intended with all of our questions haha). I have big goals for the next year in my photography journey, and I know if I didn’t invest in this I’d either struggle to get there, or if I did get there my work / life balance would take a major hit.

Watching your first videos about your life and how you got from there to here made me quite literally cry. Like a baby.
 
Your vulnerable and raw story was so relatable and it really just got me right in the feels as I been down that dark road before, and I didn’t want to be there again.
 
So here I am, doing my scary thing.
 
Everything about this process is scary, but good scary. I’m trusting my process and going with it.

Tim has a real talent for educating his students that makes so much sense! His approach is unique in a way that he makes a student feel like a friend. He tells the story in a very personal way but at the same time he gives a huge amount of practical, useful information that can be used to help you implement it into creating a photography business.
The course is structured in a series of logical categories and within each one there are very digestible in length videos that you can watch at your own pace. They are very easy to understand and full of information that you would never find in a textbook. Especially this day and age when we do so many things remotely Tim really is a mentor for his students with his honesty, emotional connection and personal approach. In each category there are also tasks that help you to take action and move towards the goals that you want to achieve in your business.
All in all, this is a fantastic course, that I couldn’t wait to take after my experience with The Nursery which was basically a game changer! The University is a brand-new course, and I am still watching new videos as they are uploaded, but I know that it will make a huge difference in my photography journey, making it more efficient and streamlined. Tim has years of experience, and he is open about his journey, he shares the realities of the photography business, the ups and downs, but above all he teaches us to be genuine and share our vision, be creative and trust in our intuition.
